THE ORACLE HEAD & NECK CANCER UK ONCOLOGY MEETING
It is a great pleasure that we invite you to register for The Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK Oncology Meeting on Friday 27th September 2024 at the Principal Hotel York. This meeting is complimentary to current UK Head and Neck Meetings and focuses on sharing knowledge between multidisciplinary team members to improve patient care within NHS practice.
The meeting has become a firm fixture of medical professionals who treat head & neck oncology patients. 2023 saw the largest audience attend to date, with over 120 attendees; these participants were multidisciplinary with all areas represented; radiography, nursing, clinical oncology, medical oncology, surgeons, dentists, speech therapists, & radiologists from approx. 40 different centres throughout the UK.
The meeting will provide participants with the opportunity to facilitate best practice by discussing the latest trends and developments in head & neck cancer as well as also affording the opportunity to network with peers.
We are very pleased to announce that from this year (2024), this event will fall under the umbrella of the Oracle Cancer Trust. This will ensure the long-term sustainability of this meeting which has become so important to the UK Head & Neck oncology community.
The event agenda and content will however continue to be independently led by our existing scientific oncology steering committee and Oracle does not have any oversight or control of the event content. We believe this gives us the best of both worlds and we are very excited and grateful for Oracle Cancer Trust’s ongoing support for this.
The 2024 agenda & content of the meeting has now been agreed by the independent medical organizing committee Chaired by Dr Robin Prestwich, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and can be viewed on this site.
We would like to thank all the speakers who agreed to take part and share their experience with us. This educational meeting is funded by the generous support of industry partners and attendance is free of charge for health care professionals working in this area.
We are planning to include a short section of the programme for a couple of short presentations on trial proposals. If you are working up a trial and think it would be helpful to present it at the meeting please get in touch by 7th June to allow the programme to be finalised.
In addition to the above we are also planning to include a virtual poster section to allow work to be widely disseminated. Please get in touch with sorcha@globalteamwork.ie in relation to either the trial presentations or virtual posters.
