Dr Beasley was appointed as a consultant clinical oncologist at the Bristol Cancer Institute in 2007 following a fellowship in head and neck cancer in British Columbia and was the clinical oncology lead there for 6 years.

He specialises in head and neck cancer, thyroid cancer and radiotherapy for haematological malignancies. He has been a member of the trial management group of several UK head and neck trials from their conception including Art-Deco, Pathos, DARS and IoN and was a member of the NCRI thyroid cancer research group until this year
